Selkirk Mountain Experience is their name and we found out about this option from one of our ex-neighbours who was raving about the hiking and overall experience. It is not inexpensive, but given the coronavirus pandemic it became timely as we do not need to leave our Province.
We opted for the five nights experience from Monday, September 7th to departing Saturday, September 12th. Early Monday morning we will be picked up by a helicopter and flown to their remote Swiss-style chalets. They have adopted a comprehensive set of Covid-19 protocols so that gives us more confidence. In fact, only about half of the available spots will be filled by guests.
With our recent move to our condo and the sale of our beloved townhome this should be good timing. Plus, Lana has been working long hours from our apartment and is ready for a break.
It will be about a six+ hour drive from Vancouver to Revelstoke.
